Group Study Exchange (GSE) ,
a cultural exchange program of the Rotary Foundation,

offers a unique person-to-person opportunity for the promotion of better understanding and friendly relations between the peoples of the world. The program provides the exchange of teams of business and professional persons between paired Rotary Districts in different countries, enabling them to study the institutions and ways of life of their hosts and to develop personal acquaintances and exchange ideas. The success of this program depends on the cooperation and efforts of many people working together. When the members of the GSE team return home, they are obliged to spread the knowledge they have gained from their visit.

(The mission of the Rotary Foundation is to support the efforts of Rotary International in the fulfillment of the Object of Rotary, Rotary's mission and achievement of world understanding and peace through local, national and international humanitarian, educational and cultural programs. Announcement of the Rotary Foundation in February, 2000 )
